lets give all the teachers new cars and trucks and anything else they want... after all it is for the children....most of the teachers are no more than glorified baby sitters... that like to toss around rules and more rules when anyone has a disagreement about how thing are being done.... I say to fire them all and open it up for new apps. and start them off at 12, 000.00 a year..... we need to bring things back into line... now want more money deserve it and be a better teacher and not a baby sitter......tell the state to do away with all the testing and get these kids back to basic learning and survival skills....bring in area professional people to tell the students what is expected in the real world... weather it be fast food or building trade or sales.....expand the kid horizons

I'm not a "birther", either. I just want everyone to play by the same rules. If birth and college records are sealed, you're dealing with someone with something to hide.

He's gay? Couldn't care less. He's lied about it? Care.

His ancestry is 50% White, 43.75 Arab and 6.25% Black, so he's White, not Black (and still lying).

His entrire religious upbringing is Muslim, not Xian. He bows to Muslim leaders, treats Xian leaders like commoners, etc.

My spacebook, your space, does it exist any more? Alta vista? dejanews? Yahoo auctions? That free image host hundreds of thousands of people used until they woke up one morning and it was gone?

B5: I like your idea of keeping things fresh around here. I'll still check in every day, but I won't post anything until 05.29.12. Care to join me?

Of course, one last comment about the school levy: As I mentioned to Crabby, it came from someone who knows more about its possibility than others. Still, no guarantee exists that it will go before the public. Of course, as Crabby or another poster said after the passage of the bond issue, if anyone thinks that the system will not come back to us fairly soon for more taxes, he should think again.

@Aunt... you're absolutely correct. I would have to get that job and work and hope for advancement. BTW, you guys (as I was) would be blown away. I know of so many people that live in the suburbs and get up at 4 am to head to work to avoid traffic. I know others that leave at 5 am and get home at 8 am and have done it everyday for 30 years. I know people that work in DC and commute from West Virginia.

It has been considered but it would up the commute.

I wonder how many ppl realize that for evey 10 miles of travel one-way to work, they have to make $1.50 more per hour to break even? That $3 raise with 20 more miles a day on the road not only puts nothing in your pocket, but is is a net loss because you're spending at least another half hour on the road.

"Maybe if you learned enuf to make a decent wage."

...The ironic part to this is that I have been offered positions in the private industry that make 25% more than my current salary along with potential upward movement. It has been considered but it would up the commute.
