BREAKING NEWS: Governor Strickland Asks Dann to Resign
Posted by: crabby in Lancaster IssuesGovernor Strickland and key Dems have asked AG Marc Dann to resign.
Attorney General Marc Dann
State of Ohio
Rhodes State Office Tower
30 East Broad Street
Columbus, OH 43215Dear Attorney General Dann,
We write to you tonight to ask that you resign your position as Attorney General of the State of Ohio.
We believe that your actions have irreparably harmed your ability to effectively serve the people of our great state.
The work of the Office of the Attorney General matters more, and is far more important, than any one person. In many, many cases it is all that stands between the people and the powerful. Sadly, we no longer have even the most remote hope that you can continue to effectively serve as Attorney General and that is why we are asking for your resignation.
We also want to make you aware that if you do not choose to resign, Democratic members of the Ohio House of Representatives will immediately introduce a resolution seeking your impeachment. We sincerely hope that this action will not be necessary and that you will act in the best interest of the people of Ohio by tendering your resignation Monday morning.
Sincerely,
Ted Strickland

I NEVER SEEN SO MANY NAMES ATTACHED TO THE BOTTOM OF A LETTER BEFORE!
UHHH….I TOLD YOU EARLIER, THIS GUY WILL NOT STEP DOWN. HE IS GOING TO DRAG THIS ON AND COST THE TAXPAYERS MONEY FOR AN INVESTIGATION!
HELL,,,EVEN THE DEMOCRAITC PARTY IS NO LONGER RECOGNIZING HIM! THEY SAY HE IS AN ATTORNEY GENERAL WHO WON UNDER DEMOCRATIC STATUS AND IS NOW AN INDEPENDENT!
CAN YOU SAY……..IMPEACHMENT?

Impeachment is difficult in Ohio.

I don’t think he should resign. I voted for him because he’s a tough cop who won’t be bribed and will do his job. That’s precisely what he has done. His home life is his own business, and I hope he gets that straightened out. Meanwhile, he’s continued working, and I rather hope he does so. We hired him to prosecute criminals, not to be a paragon of domestic virtue.

Mr. Marc (Otter) Dann tolerated sexual harassment within the AG’s office. He was not an innocent victim.
Domestic virtue? We are talking criminal activity here and not just low morals.
The story is FAR from over.

And the Dems will come out of this smelling like roses because they didn’t wait until the last dog was hung to cut their ties with the bad blood. There is no such thing as corruption free politics, but having a party that doesn’t blatantly cover for crooks is a step in the right direction.

I see no evidence at all of criminal activity. Poor behavior, perhaps–the sort of thing that would have been tolerated perfectly well in 1960, but not apparently not now. Even at that, nobody’s been hurt and everyone has continued to do their job rather efficiently in that department. Criminals are clever, tough, and determined, and they’ll be delighted if Mr Dann leaves.
