Just in case you’ve forgotten, during the 2006 campaign, Ted Strickland set education as his “number 1 priority”. He said that if he did not fix Ohio’s School Funding that he would consider him a failure. Is it fixed?

Just in case you’d forgotten, it might take longer than two years to emerge from the hole that was left by that scumbag criminal Bob Taft during his 8 years in office.
Just a thought.

I think that with the economy slowing and the job hits Ohio has taken, it would have been hard to put education as a priority. Still, he has done much for the colleges throughout the State. I am usually conservative, and I voted for him, and I have been happy with his job thus for, for the most part…

Strickland has not done ONE THING to fix school funding!

I haven’t read the agenda’s and the bills out there. I do know the Ohio Supreme Court already ruled that funding is illegal and it was ‘fixed’ but the reality was something far different…I know its going to take a long time to ‘fix’ it if its possible! Especially with the current economy. I thought this might be the realy problem with the schools.
WESTLAKE, Ohio — A Cleveland-area principal says he is embarrassed his students got proof of their “educaiton” on their high school diploma.
Westlake High School officials misspelled “education” on the diplomas distributed this weekend. It’s been the subject of mockery on local radio.
Principal Timothy Freeman says he sent the diplomas back once to correct another error. When the corrected diplomas came back, no one bothered to check the things they thought were right the first time.
Publisher Jostens has reprinted the new diplomas — a third attempt — and sent them to the 330 graduates.

The public university that I go to recieved some money from the Govenor last year, money that they didn’t expect. He has initiated a plan to get more young adults into university education. If you are talking about K-12, Crabby, then you are definitely right.

Again gooch, let the Republicans in the group make-up their own definitions about which schools he is helping.
Apparently public University’s don’t count.
