The latest Rasmussen poll concerning politics in Ohio is out. A couple of interesting points:
- McCain is now leading over Borack Obama by 10% when you take the “leaner’s” into account.
- Governor Strickland’s popularity continues to plummet. His favorable rating now stands at 44% – down 3% in just 30 days. His rating is substantially less than Governor Taft at this point in his term.

Thank God the rest of the nation doesn’t view Obama the same way as the majority of backward morons in Ohio do. I guess they have LOVED the rate at which Ohio has lost jobs and the other popular items that Bush and McSame continue to poison.
Does this mean that Nader’s number’s are going to go higher as well since McSame is now jumping on the Obama bandwagon with regards to a 16 month troop withdraw in Iraq? Like McSame, Nader has offered nothing (well, I take that back; McSame has offered his opinion on everything that he doesn’t like about Obama but he has still not offered any of his own plans).
Are we honestly that ignorant as a society to elect John McCain?

WWW, the thing that really upsets me about you is that you rant and rave about ignorant, closed-minded, heartless Republicans, when you embody all those virtues yourself. If we vote for a Republican, we are ignorant. You don’t even give a second thought to saying that about Republicans: We are ignorant. I will be voting in my second Presidential election this year, and I will be voting for McCain. Call me ignorant, I don’t care. I generally vote for Conserveative candidates, but I voted for Strictland. So I have made at least one smart choice, right?
One of my best friends is a flaming liberal, but we still talk politics. Never once has she called me ignorant for my political views, nor have I her. Every post you have is blasting republicans, and not just the Senators and Congressman and the like, but the voters themselves. To me, to judge someone without knowing anything about them, but doing so based soley on their political party, seems very ignorant and close-minded.
Oh, and calling people ignorant isn’t a way to get them to switch their vote. I hope the rest of the Dems in this nation are as moronic as Ohio Dems in trying to campaign for votes…

I like reading www’s rants. The only thing I don’t like is the way he vanishes — he doesn’t really stick around to defend his position and points (Of course, his positon is “heels in air and on his knees” for any Liberal POV.).
I don’t like either candidate. Neither will solve the problems of out-of-control spending and big government.
The only thing I can hang my very-Libertarian-but-extremely-realistic hat on is “Who is going to appoint SCOTUS candidates?”. That pretty much makes up my mind for me….
Think about it.

I forgot to finish my post.
After “Think about it.”, I meant to say:
It all depends on how quickly you want your way of life and your freedom of choice to vanish.
It will, but your choice of candidate will determine how quickly your life will change — for the worse.

Hmmm, this information doesn’t surprise me since when it comes to presidential elections, Ohioians are extremely predictable, but is does disappoint me. In my mind, I just don’t get it. I was just reading in the Dispatch this a.m. about the possibility of Ohio losing 8,000 additional jobs in Wilmington (courtesty of DHL), then I log on to this website to see what’s happening. When I see Obama referred to as “Borack” in the tag line, I know it’s not going to be good for me. Oh well, whatever.

Funny “cooch” but I honestly don’t see anywhere in the post where I’m saying Republicans are heartless and ignorant.
I’m just saying that if you are on board with what has been happening over the last eight years with regards to the worst Presidential Administration in our nation’s history, then you are indeed ignorant.
If you write-in vote your own name that’s better than handing the keys of our country to what is in essence the same douche-bag.
Since John McSame is a sheep and he kissed the ass off George W. Bush and supports his policies, then yes ANYONE that votes for McSame wants to see the failure of Capitialism and Freedom.

You blame 8,000 jobs lost on the McCain? I would look to our state’s governor first. Try to remember the promises he made.
July 28th, 2008 at 1:15 pm
You are correct that you did not refer to them as heartless. And I substituted ignorant for moron, sorry. In other post you have, but I should have focused on this one, you are right. And you spelled my name wrong, unless…. Wait! I see what you did! You switched the first letter to make it sound like something else! Wow, you are a clever one, aren’t you!?
Seriously, though. Crabby is right. If you want to blame Ohio’s job market on anyone, let us blame our Govenor, a registered Democrat, I believe. If I were to make a comment in the same vein as www, I would say that anyone that voted for Strictland (insert a clever varition of his name to make him sound like more of a jackass) hates Ohio and are idiots. Or anyone that voted for Mark Dann really is a sexist and wants to cheat on their spouse and promote sexual misconduct in the office place.
However, I don’t believe that. Either they liked Dann over his opposition, or they voted down party lines, same with Strictland. Then again, I am bot an angry person that thonks switching letters around in a name makes them more intelligent and more qualified to vote, and also make them the person I would turn to when want an opinion on who ishould vote for. Oh, and for the record, the Democrat-controlled Congress has lower approval ratings than our President. So, there that is….
July 28th, 2008 at 3:06 pm
Gooch—maybe it was just a minor faux pau [sic]. WWW would never stoop so low as to call someone a filthy name just because they disagree him. He’s very liberal and you know how tolerant they are.

Last I heard congress had a 14% approval rating!
July 29th, 2008 at 10:35 am
Would that be the Congress that the Democrats control?
July 29th, 2008 at 11:43 am
Have you seen how much the price of gas has gone up since the Dems took control of congress? Wow!
July 29th, 2008 at 4:23 pm
We can blame all of the high costs on the Democratically controlled congress now? Where do you get your information Crabby?
Not to mention the fact that Ohio’s demise in jobs took place LONG before Strickland took over. Why not (for once, just an idea) do your own research so that you can be “astonished” and how long you’ve been fed the wrong information! It may amaze you (if you’ll admit it).

The Dems have no reason to work on lowering gas prices. Everything that is happening is proving them right about our capitalistic over=consumption. Pelosi and her buds want to bring gas prices up to average what the EU is paying.
On the other hand, the ‘pubs have been in bed with big oil so long that they have no incentive to find other sources of fuel…. The automakers don’t want to do it, and big oil has no reason to….
We are screwed from both sides of the aisle here. Eventually our economy will get so bad that we will welcome Gov. intervention. Then we’ll be heading for the EU hoping they can protect us from the Chinese takeover… just look at who owns US T-bills. China and Japan.
