The best thing that Gov Strickland could come up with to get people back to work is a rail system to run passengers from Columbus to Cleveland? Really – is that it? Is that the best you could do? Are you serious?
First of all it would take years – if not DECADES to buy the land and build the track. How many will it employ and how many would ride the trail daily. I suspect the former would be bigger than the latter. I’m surprised he did not want to rebuild the canals!
Why not a spending that money to build the freight rail infrastructure? We need to put our money (or is it China;s money) to work making Ohio a manufacturing friendly state. I can think of HUNDREDS of things that Ohio could do to help build manufacturing and jobs – a passenger train line is NOT one of them.

Crabby– Does it take LESS money and time (and land) to build the freight rail infrastructure as opposed to a passanger rail service?
Also- who the hell wants to take a passanger rail to Cleveland? I’d rather take one to Cincinnati- Quicker to get to the gambiling that Ohio will not pass.
Your gonna piss off the teamsters with all this talk about boosting money into the rail systems! We don’t need to be raising Jimmy Hoffa from underneath the ballpark!

Here’s a BETTER point zip-code; did you (Crabby) stop going out to dinner? This “anti-Democrat” “anti-snow delay” approach is getting tired and old. I know it’s your website brother but it’s uninteresting, old and pathetic.
Obama won (who gives a shit; it’s another politican). I think that they are ALL evil anymore and there are no real sides to choose (it’s us and them for sure).
Get back to the basics dude; interesting. No offense.

WWW – this is a bit more important right now. Obama has selected to take his pages from history – FDR tried to spend his way out of the depression and it DID NOT WORK! What is the line about those that do not learn from history is bound to repeat it?

Trains!!! Did he say TRAINS!!!!!!!!! That’s the great plan,oh my god. Didn’t Ted get a train set for christmas when he was a boy??
To turn the economy around we need to create good manufacturing jobs for the masses. To do this we need cheap energy (oil, coal, nuclear, natural gas) and abundant raw materials(wood,steel,iron,etc.). Of course in the church of the Liberal, these things are sins.
Gobal warming,the greatest scam ever.

Do many people commute between Cleveland and Columbus? I only go there for basketball games a couple times a year. Amd WWW, why not just stick to topic or shut the hell up? We know, you don’t like Crabby’s viewpoints… Get over it or go to some other site.
