The LEG has is now reporting that we will get 2-4 inches of snow in the next day or two. Applying the CFG factor we will take the low end of the range – 2 inches and divide by two and then reduce that number by .25″ for every day in advance the forecast is for. So (2/2)-.25. Still enough to send Lancaster scrambling to obtain supplies from the closest grocery store before the “white death” starts falling.
Have they cancelled school yet?
I have noticed that the city has started squirting brine on the streets. While the brine essentially accomplished nothing it is easier than sending our snow warriors out into the cold. I think our snow warriors are somehow related to the French Military.

I think it’s time for you to issue Panic Level One.
What is it about Central Ohio that makes everyone (nearly) hate the weather where they choose to live?
the weather in centeral Ohio… it will change in the blink of an eye. We don’t have winter’s like it use to be… I remember going to work and it was cold as hell and the snow was on for weeks at a time….we just moved the snow and got on with life…even during the great blizzard of 1978 I had no problem getting around and working….but by Saturday it was all over and the snow was melting…
Actually, I love the weather in this section of Ohio – always have. No, I am not joking.
It’s never unbearably cold as it frequently is in upper Minnesota, and it’s never fatally hot as it is usually in Savannah.
Also, I love both snow and rain.
If you love rain and snow, then this was the one for you. 2 inches of slush was nearly impossible to shovel but I made it. Had to get out there first thing before it melted. I won’t miss the extended cold temperatures even though I did enjoy all the shoveling.
