I recently saw a news item on TV that indicated that salt is being imported from South America for use on Columbus streets because salt was being depleted. What?!?!?!? After a couple of minutes of research I found out that in the DETROIT salt mines alone there are 71 TRILLION TONS of unmined salt. That’s TRILLION with a T – that’s 71,000,000,000,000 TONS! And we need to import our salt? Get real! There are salt plenty of salt mines right in Ohio and our governments are exporting work to South America! Ridiculous!
