As of now Fairfield County is NOT under a snow emergency (per the Fairfield County Sheriff’s Department.

It should be noted that that the county remains under a panic level #2 (per Crabby Fat Guy).

Is it just because we are both from the Chicago area?

There were reports of a tornado touching down near New Straitsville.

There were also reports that the Perry County Sheriff’s Department was running on cell phones ONLY. They had no power or phones.
